Clan Hlewela

The Hlewela were an Aslan clan, one of the original Tlaukhu. Hlewela founded the Iyalil corporation in the early days of Aslan space exploration, prior to the development of the jump drive. Iyalil provided hulls and other components for the dominant Khaukheairl and Yerlyaruiwo clans, as well as producing terraforming and life support gear for new colonies.

The Hlewela lost much of its influence and many of its members when the clan leadership on Kusyu/Kilrai' (Dark Nebula 1226) was shown to be entirely out of touch with the needs of the clan. The Iyalil corporation broke free of clan leadership leading to the downfall of the Hlewela.
