In Imperial Law, a Guerrilla is an individual partaking in Guerrilla warfare.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Guerrilla warfare is a form of irregular warfare in which small groups of combatants, such as paramilitary personnel, armed civilians, or irregulars, use military tactics including ambushes, sabotage, raids, petty warfare, hit-and-run tactics, and mobility, to fight a larger and less-mobile traditional military. Guerrilla groups are a type of violent non-state actor.

Guerrillas include those that join these movements out of political belief (or suffer the misfortune of being drafted into these forces) but there are also professional mercenaries that move from conflict to conflict, being paid for by various mysterious backers[1].

The line between Guerrilla, Insurgent, Resistance Fighter, Freedom Fighter, Special Forces soldier and Terrorist is often, because of the political nature of the conflicts, deliberately blurred by the protagonists.

In Imperial Law, it is not illegal to be a Guerrilla, unless and until your actions have the effect of destabilising the Imperium - when your actions become those of a Traitor.
