The star Gamma Lupi is a trinary star system.

  • It can be resolved into a binary star system in close orbit known as the Gamma Lupi AB system (often abbreviated as γ Lup AB), orbiting each other with a period of about 190 years. Gamma Lupi A is itself a spectroscopic binary (Gamma Lupi Ab) with a period of about 2.81 days.
  • It lies in the general region of Arzul Sector, far to coreward-trailing of Sol.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Gamma Lupi star system is approximately 129pc from Terra, and is located in a Coretrailing/Trailing direction from Terra at bearing 333.2o Galactic Longitude and +11.9o North Galactic Latitude.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Though it shares a similar name, the star Gamma Lupi has no relationship with the world Gamma Lupus 2/Ilelish (Ilelish 2704).
