History and Background

New Era

Erleikhyol is the joint possession of the Arewiwa' and Yuawiyhrea clans. The planet suffers from severe climactic extremes of hot, dry regions in the middle latitudes, and severe glaciation at the poles. Its shallow seas fluctuate seasonally, and are a source of windblown salt and dust that give it a taint rating. The two clans settled the world by default (their transport ship broke down here) and subsisted on seasonal mining of the seafloor. But the two clans have not been content with their lot, and through careful cooperation, good organisation and hard work, they have managed to build a significant industrial base in spite of the local conditions.
