The starname Althalimain is a proper name that is applied to two different stars, individually known as Iota Aquilae (or Althalimain Posterior) and Lambda Aquilae (or Althalimain Prior or Deneb Dulfim).

Iota Aquliae (Althalimain Posterior) is usually listed as a a giant star, but it is in fact most likely a blue-white main sequence star of spectral type B5.

  • The Iota Aquilae star system lies approximately 119.9pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward/Corespinward direction from Terra at bearing 040.0o Galactic Longitude and -10.7o South Galactic Latitude.

Lambda Aquliae (Althalimain Prior), otherwise known as "Deneb Dulfim", is a blusih-white main sequence star of spectral type B9.

  • The Lambda Aquilae star system lies approximately 37.9pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward/Corespinward direction from Terra at bearing 030.3o Galactic Longitude and -05.5o South Galactic Latitude.
