Dalev-thur

Likely mythical creatures from Vilani legend. In Vilani tales, dalev-thur are huge multi-legged creatures made of living stone. They would supposedly stand for years in one spot in the rocky highlands of Vland, never moving a centimetre. Then, for some reason known only to the dalev-thur themselves, they would move, sometimes only a few metres, before again freezing.

The dalev-thur have been evoked by those studying unusual desert lifeforms on a variety of worlds, some associated with mysterious geological features like the Patterned Desert of Wardn or the lines of Haiiro.
