The star Chi Cygni is a Cherry-Red MS6+ III Giant star located approximately 151 pc from Terra.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Chi Cygni is a Cherry-Red Giant Mira-type variable star of classification MS6+, placing it within a subclass of M-Type stars known as the "S-Class", characterized by a high metallicity and an abundance of ZiO. Its luminosity varies over a period that is inconsistent from maximum to maximum, but averages about 408.7 days.
- The Chi Cygni star system is approximately 159.5pc from Terra, and is located in a Spinward/Corespinward direction from Terra at bearing 68.5° Galactic Longitude and +03.28° North Galactic Latitude.
