Planetology[edit]
New Montana is one of the medium-sized settlements in the Belt.
The body is, itself, some 50km in diameter and has been artificially spun up to provide internal gravity of up to 0.1G (used to be 0.3G). This now mostly supplemented by artificial gravity which brings almost all locations up to the human-standard 1G.
Government[edit]
New Montana is effectively a giant archology sealed against vacuum and self contained regarding the majority of its needs on a short term basis. It is administered directly by the Belt through a local advisory council.

Economy[edit]
New Montana has extensive docks at both poles and houses facilities for the the Belt's Naval Force.
The interior of the body is hollow, and the caverns have been lit to provide an earth-compatible environment.
The corporation Helena Space Engineering has a drive manufacturing plant adjacent to this asteroid and it is this company that provides the majority of the local employment.
Military[edit]
The New Montana Space Defence Force is an auxiliary of the Belter Navy and is enthusiastically supported by the populace.
