Developed when the polar ice pockets were mined out, and the Commission for the Environment of Sparks and the Belt Administration relocated to this cheaper location from its previous, equatorial base. It is well placed with the Grand-Plaza station on the hyper, just one stop one the red and blue lines from the North Pole Spaceport.
Events[edit]
The "New Year Stage" is erected for the annual "New Year Countdown Party" (financed by the Belt Administration) and dismantled after the annual Holiday.
The plaza is the host to 4 major events each year:
- New Year Party
- North Polar Community Show
- Mid-Year Concert
- Holiday Market (actually held 4 weeks before Holiday)
It has also been used as a venue for the all-Belt Tagball championship final.
