Deep Drift is a town associated with a compression fracture associated with shock-related metamorphic rocks and famous for a diamond mine. It lies some 80k south of Yaoley Crater on the Sparks Hyperloop Red Line.
The drift has been sunk to nearly 12km depth and has been lined by residences and commercial districts along its length. The population is about 16,000.
Deep Drift has become a manufacturing centre for furniture.
