Miya Ide is a courier for Ankokudzura

Miya was brought up in the slums of the lower caverns of the North Pole of Sparks and has not moved far, Casa Esperança being only marginally less run down. Her migration was the result of getting a job as a cart driver and her tendency to sleep in her cart to keep it safe. Her ability to navigate the slippery by-ways of the Sparks underworld saw her collecting, transporting and (most importantly) delivering her cargos. Somewhat afraid for her safety, she learned to shoot and acquired a pistol.
The Cart War that followed the Battle of Sparks saw many (if not most) of the independent drivers forced to gain protection from one or other of the various gangs. Miya Ide negotiated a privileged position working for the relatively neutral Ankokudzura. Despite this, she had to fight her way out of at least one ambush and now owns body armour, just in case she has to do it again.
