One of the major projects run internationally in the first century after discovery and settlement of New Earth.

The Wild-Pollinators Sustainment Project sought to establish an ecology that supported a year-round population of pollinators so that the settlements could grow flowering plants to supplement food supplies.

The project was hampered by the fact that not every colony had full access to the gene-banks stored on the various ships of The Fleet.
