The Citrus Crisis was an economic shock that was precipitated by the arrival of the first Citrus Fruit crop from Outback. The crisis was unexpected, because Outback was not scheduled as a Citrus Fruit producer - indeed this whole group of plants was not listed for release by 75, when the crisis occurred. Gregory Ixis in Touchdown all but accused Outback of theft of the seed stock.

The crisis was finally defused in part by the release of Citrus Fruit seeds for general usage by any state.
