Sirius Vs Margar Bio-Engineering[edit]
Sirius is famous for providing Dolphins, in 277, with some legal rights and having them officially declared legal persons. This landmark case (Sirius Vs Margar Bio-Engineering) saw the firm of Margar Bio-Engineering sued by Sirius and their defence included the testimony of two Dolphins. The Sirius lawyers successfully persuaded the court of the need to swear-in the Dolphins as their evidence was subject to a conscious choice regarding whether they should tell the truth - or not.
Although Sirius lost the case, the following week saw over 23,000 writs of habeas-corpus on behalf of the company's Dolphin workers.
