One of the leading bio-engineering firms in the New Earth System. Until 277 it was involved in species uplift programs, but thereafter specialised in inter-domain bio-engineering and Poseidon based Raft Farming. It holds the monopoly on production of Poseidon's Water-Apples.
History[edit]
In 277 a landmark case (Sirius Vs Margar Bio-Engineering) ruled that Uplifted Dolphins were legal persons and thus were subject to a writ of habeus corpus and were subject to legislation regarding slavery and minimum working standards.
As a result of the ruling, Margar was substantially restructured with 50% of its shares held by a Dolphin trust. They however realised cash from some of their position such that the trust how holds just 33% of the company's stock. Unexpectedly, this diversification of control enhanced the corporations position and they were able to restart their expansion in 279.
