Ba'Menelik

A Human culture, of Terran African descent. They are a minority population within the Amec Trade Protectorate.

The Ba'Menelik people were initially left isolated but free, allowed to live in the Pridelands of the Southern Continent on Eddum. However, in 855, the Universalist church elected to undertake a forced conversion. Many of the Ba'Menelik died, and their land of Tana eh-timkaat remained under seige until the disaster that struck Eddum in the Time of Cleansing, when the repression was removed, by default.

The disaster caused millions of Ba'Menelik to die, but led the current Tlatoani to agree that they should have religious freedom, provided that they remain in isolation to prevent their beliefs "contaminating" the faith of the rest of the people.

The Ba'Menelik speak Karanga.
