The Appraisal kit contains a set of tools and measuring devices to evaluate the worth of gem stones, precious metals, jewelry, art work, artifacts, antiques, and other unusual or unique items.
The portable kit contains a lighted magnifying lens, jeweler's loupe, tweezers, calipers, UV and IR flashlight, magnet, linen and latex gloves. The standard kit also includes a digital scale, bright lights, backdrop cloth for taking pictures, insulated and airtight bags of different sizes, and a collection of auction catalogs and research material on computer accessible media. The workstation version also includes microscope, a sealed storage case, a chemical analysis setup, backlit table with overhead broad-spectrum lights, high resolution camera and video, and a much more extensive set of art history and research materials.
