The star Unukalhai (otherwise known as Alpha Serpentis or Cor Serpentis) is a yellow-orange giant star of spectral type K2.

The Unukalhai star system lies approximately 22.7pc from Terra, and is located in a Coreward direction from Terra at bearing 014.2o Galactic Longitude and +44.1o North Galactic Latitude.
