Alliance Builder Virus

Description (Specifications)

This strain seeks to convince other Virus-infected system to join together with it to accomplish some task that it has set for itself. Sometimes it will kill those that refuse to join it. This task is usually one of directed mayhem, as with the Doomslayer Virus.

History & Background (Dossier)

An outgrowth from the Empire Builder Virus, these Viruses were capable of forming networks amongst Vampire Fleets. These networks included Puppeteer Virus strains - and thus the more virulent Puppeteer Virus strains gained the skills that allowed it to (with luck) become Awaken.

In some ways, these strains were the first move from lone predator to pack predator and from lone prey to herds in the electronic ecology.
