Alderson's Coastal Hunter

Marine animals native to Walston.

More usually known simply as 'Aldersons', the Coastal Hunters are armored arthropods growing to 30-40 centimetres long, not counting a whip-like tail the same length as the body. The Alderson has a pair of lobster-like claws, but normally hunts by surging from cover to grab small prey, or by entangling larger invertebrates with its tail. Aldersons can give a human a nasty bite and are very tenacious if they feel threatened; their armour plates make them difficult to kill with a knife.
