The star Omicron-1 Eridani (otherwise known as Beid or 38 Eridani) is a giant white Delta Scutii type variable star of spectral type F0.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Beid star system lies approximately 37.3pc from Terra, and is located in a Spinrimward/Rimward direction from Terra at bearing 199.3o Galactic Longitude and -38.4o South Galactic Latitude.
- Though it is almost seven times as far away, Beid lies along the same line-of-sight bearing from a Terran-sky observational perspective as the star Keid, primary star of the Sarpedon system.
