Willeson is a poor, high-population world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- This world is always on the edge of revolution as the common citizen struggles under extremely low wages. Much dissent is present.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- This world toils under the control of a military government with conditions reflecting that situation including curtailed civil rights and limited freedoms.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Sephi Hydra Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.

Mainworld Data
Willeson is a small-sized world on the outer edge of the system life zone. It retains a thin atmosphere and substantial ice caps. There is little to no free-standing water excepting near the ice caps.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
There are several mountainous regions. There is an usual feature in that both poles are ringed by medium-sized (6000m) mountain ranges, which work to keep most moisture in the polar regions. The more equatorial regions have the extensive cratering expected of thin atmosphere worlds.
Mainworld Map
No information yet available.
Native Lifeforms
Some moss-like flora have been found near the northern polar region which are adapted to the F-class star light spectrum.
History & Background (Dossier)
Willeson is a poor, high-population Solomani Confederation world located in Sephi Hydra Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
World Starport
Willeson has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport. Willeson Highport is currently controlled directly by the Solomani Federation forces.
Willeson Downport is currently controlled directly by the Solomani Federation forces.
World Technology Level
Willeson possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
World Government
Willeson is governed by a Totalitarian Oligarchy. Ruling functions are provided by a small group, disconnected from the broader populace, and interested in maintaining their power.
- The system has been issued an Amber Zone travel advisory.
World Law Level
Willeson is governed by multiple Aslan Clans. Similar to a Balkanized Government, there are several Clans competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Military
Solomani Federation naval and military forces are present here in force.
World Economy
Willeson has the advantages of extensive urban infrastructure both around and within the polar ice packs. Economically, it has abundant power and produces a wide variety of local food stuffs by various means. It has leveraged its natural resources into full-fledged industries, and imported the technologies needed to grow the industries that were not natively developed.

World Culture
Willeson is a a culture that pre-dates the Long Night as 2 cultures, sourced from each of the Poles. Upon re-integrating with the Imperium/Solomani, the injection of new technologies jump started the economies and caused a population boom. The Poles each retain some cherished distinguishing customs and holidays, and seem to delight in making fun of the opposite Pole, but in general the 2 sub-cultures have much more in common than differences. While a distinct culture, Willeson is influenced by media from Home and the Simonides Run worlds.
Urbanization
Willeson has extensive urban (T-12, T-13) infrastructure both around and within the polar ice packs.
Historical Data
Willeson is a a culture that pre-dates the Long Night as 2 cultures, sourced from each of the Poles. Upon re-integrating with the Imperium/Solomani, the injection of new technologies jump started the economies and caused a population boom. This historic balkanization of Willeson was short-lived, and the population united under a new planetary constitution with the leadership of Samuel Willeson, a unification firebrand from the northern Polar area who went on to serve 3 terms as planetary president of Houstane, with the planet being renamed officially after his death.
In 1100, a popular leader of what was previously a fringe group was able to get the support of the populace to elect Yasmin ‘Granny’ York to the presidency along with a raft of her supporting legislators. Despite a platform of anti-corruption and a return to common-sense values, York almost immediately used her office to identify and locate opponents to her party, then declaring martial law, used the military to round up and execute the vast majority of her "enemies of the state", incarcerating "for life" a few with critical knowledge or influence. An entire sector of the Southern Pole which opposed her actions and declared independence was isolated, then severely damaged when York deployed part of the government nuclear mining charges against it.
In 1104 Confederation forces overthrew a rogue dictatorship on Willeston, and the Confederation is currently involved in a large-scale police and humanitarian relief action against the government of Willeson, which is considered a "rogue" Solomani state.
Last news, 1105: Following last February’s resolution in the Secretariat, at the direction of the Secretary General, Solomani Confederation Army forces landed today at Willeson as part of Operation Critical Mass. Their objective is to bring an end to dictator Yasmin ‘Granny’ York whose genocidal actions against her own people were exposed after investigation by SolSec and diligent Party media. York, whose criminally incompetent regime caused widespread starvation and economic dislocation, brought grinding misery to the citizens of Willeson and weakened the very Solomani Cause she falsely claimed to champion. Confederation Army forces are supporting loyal Solomani Party cadres who had organised elements of the planet’s Home Guard to stand against York’s mad regime.
