Description (Specifications)[edit]
Imperial Navy service-members who have been instrumental in preventing the loss of a ship, may receive the Damage Control Medal. While this award can sometimes be awarded for actions taken in response to combat damage, it is more commonly awarded for damage amelioration due to causes arising from non-combat situations, as those who undertake critical damage control arising from combat while under fire would more commonly receive an award for valour. In the cases where the award is granted for critical actions during a combat situation, is has also occasionally been granted to Imperial Marine personnel serving with damage control parties while deployed as ship's troops.
