Apemkir is a nonindustrial fluid world.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Remnants Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
Astrography and planetology
Apemkir is a minor trade point on the Pact-Remnants Mainbridge linking Remnants Subsector with Pact Subsector.

Native Lifeform: Ghostfish
The University of Medurma maintains a small research team studying the unusual, and rich, life in the exotic ocean. Oceanic life varies from microscopic larvae of many of the resident life forms, to the twenty meter, ten ton, Umono. The Umono is a schooling filter feeder that congregates in herds of between twenty and fifty individuals.
The research base staff are investigating claims that one of the native life forms, the 'Ghost Fish' an extremely rare deep sea predator that can grow up to 300kg and over 2m in length, is apparently capable of teleporting itself. Although a few have been found, none have been trapped long enough to tag them.
History and background
