Forum:Internal Error messages, April 2024
I'm not sure if the problems i'm experiencing are reproducible for other users, but i am having trouble with the display of certain pages.
So far today (2024 April 16th) i have enountered an "Internal Error" message if i try to load the pages for:
The Arctic Environment
The Mariposa Affair
The University of Regina
The University of Rhylanor
The University of Daibei
... and there are probably others, those are just the first few i've run into. My theory is that this is related to a recent change to the underlying database servers in early-to-mid-April. I'm just hoping to bring this to the attention of any administrators who could possibly look into the source of the troubles. Thank you kindly, KevinHutchins (talk) 19:23, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- Am looking at this now to see if I can find a root cause. Tjoneslo (talk) 03:21, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm unsure how the templates are suppposed to work, but i can confirm that i am seeing this error occurring on articles which use the "LE" and "LEN" codes for Library Entries. For example: Darmine (race). There are probably many more with problems, and this does seem to be a common factor. KevinHutchins (talk) 21:35, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- Good News: I have a root cause of the problem, It's the Dynamic Page List extension. Better news: It looks like an upgrade to the newer version will resolve this issue. Bad news: It will be a day or two until I have the free time / brain space to perform the upgrade. I apologize for the problem, it will be fixed as soon as possible. - This has been fixed. The internal errors have been addressed and should no longer be occurring. I've checked the pages you listed above, plus the underlying template that were the root cause of the problem. Everything is working correctly again. Thank you for your detailed error report. It made finding, fixing, and verifying the problem resolution much easier. Tjoneslo (talk) 12:53, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for all the excellent work. Glad to see all the pages rendering correctly again! KevinHutchins (talk) 17:18, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
