As part of the output for the PyRoute trade map generation system is the economic data. (E.g. Spinward Marches Sector/data). I've also been asked to include the base sector data (E.g. Spinward Marches) as a page in the wiki. I haven't been doing the latter because the Traveller Map site does such a good job of hosting the data.

But I've had it point out that we could host the data in a more wikified format than simple text files. For example: Zarushagar_Sector/data#Sorted_Data. You can still cut/paste from this format to other places (e.g. a spreadsheet) as it comes out as a tab delimited, which is the for specified for the data files originally.

So my plan is, unless someone has a new/better idea to have each sector processed by the trade route maps have two sub-pages:

  • <sector>/sector data -> With the wikified sector data
  • <sector>/economic data -> With the wikified economic data

So questions on the poll today.

  1. Do you even like the idea of the wikified data for each sector?
  2. Do you think the text mode article is useful enough to keep, or be used instead of, the wikified version?
  3. Should I also do this for the subsectors as well?
