Republic of Lisarba

A natioin on Gila, of around 330,000 people. The Republic is the chief rival of the nation of Tanqueru for planetary domination. Government is handled by a massive bureaucracy; there is a president but they have little actual control. Lisarba quietly supports the Deltrine Khanate's efforts to oppose Tanqueru, while plotting to annex the nation of Situsia. Lisarba has nuclear weapons and as of the 1100s is in a race with Tanqueru to develop fusion bombs.
