The Grand Duke was the head of state on the planet Sylea beginning in Year -650, when the Kingdom of Sylea became the Sylean Federation. The office of Grand Duke was nominally elected instead of being a hereditary monarchy, and the Grand Duke was elected for life by the Syleand Grand Senate.
