A dish, beloved of the Vargr peoples and native to Lair (Provence 2402), Akanarzh is made from finely chopped meat, mixed with a carbohydrate base, spice-pods, and seasonings. The mixture is packed into a rectangular dish, lined with aromatic leaves, covered with more leaves, weighted, and left to ferment for thirty days or so. After this time, the loaf is unwrapped, cut into thick slices and either flash-fried, lightly grilled, or served cold.
