The Traveller Hero content originated with Kevin Walsh's posting at the Star Hero site as Shadowcat1313. They were brought onto the starherofandom.com site and later expanded into an "Unofficial Guide for Fans by Fans" PDF (2005), by Kevin Walsh, Randy Hollingsworth, and Rob Bruce. ComStar Games announced that they'd acquired licenses to officially publish the game in 2006. Traveller Hero was then published in 2007 by ComStar, followed by several supplements before they ceased to publish the line.
