The Combat Command Ribbon is granted to officers who performed with distinction while commanding a unit in combat. It is also granted to non-commissioned officers who assumed command in the place of an officer or were breveted to a command position by a superior. It is basically the officer's version of the Meritorious Conduct Under Fire medal.

Third Class (Bronze): Signifies a additional award.
Second Class (Silver): Signifies five additional awards.
