Description (Planetology)

This world is one of the main grain-producing planets in Dagudashaag.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Osaki are renowned as a nomadic people always on the move. This is not totally true as many of the richer families have their own strip of land to maintain and work. Most others however, do spend their entire lives travelling from farm to farm and from seasonal crop to seasonal crop as migratory workers. Most of the land under cultivation is actually owned by co-operatives who pay its workers a dividend of the overall profit. These workers, who make up the largest segment of the population, reside in their large caravan convoys or in the free hostels that have been established throughout the land, constantly travelling back and forth between the farms along narrow roads that run along side the massive fields. Initial genetic manipulation of the grain seed has allowed the crops to mature at different times throughout the year.
