Artificial Chromosome Deterioration Complaint (ACDC) is a sexually transmitted disease.
Description / Specifications[edit]
First identified in 991 on several worlds in the Shallows Subsector of Dagudashaag. ACDC can lie dormant for weeks to months before symptoms begin to appear. The viral infection causes severe chromosome damage to throughout the body, which in turn causes organ failure. Left untreated the ongoing damage becomes fatal.
History & Background / Dossier[edit]
Treatment requires a six month course of ODA2, a compound derived plants on Chathi (Dagudashaag 0115). ODA2 is also an effective contraceptive, and the course of treatment renders the patient infertile during the course of treatment.
