Antimatter or "contra-terrene matter" is matter that is composed of the antiparticles of those that constitute normal matter.
Description (Specifications)
If a particle and its antiparticle come in contact with each other, the two annihilate and produce a burst of energy, which results in the production of other particles and antiparticles or electromagnetic radiation. In these reactions, total energy (Etot=mtotc²: the sum of rest mass-energy (E0=m0c²) and kinetic energy (Ek) is conserved, but rest mass-energy itself is not conserved, being either converted to other particle-antiparticle pairs of different rest mass-energies and kinetic energies with accompanying electromagnetic radiation, or being converted entirely to radiant electromagnetic radiation (Ek=hf).
History & Background (Dossier)
Antimatter, when available for fuel is normally antihydrogen and can also be a weapon (Missile Warhead) as early as TL–17.
