The Meritorious Performance of Duties Medal is an award in the Imperial Armed Services awarded to service members who have performed their duties to an exceptional standard.

Imperial Armed Services members who have performed their duties to an exceptional standard in a situation possibly (but not normally) combat-related, may receive the Meritorious Performance of Duties Medal. The "MPD" is normally awarded for good, solid service over a long period but can also be awarded for singular incidences of meritorious action during a crisis situation. There is typically a rather a wide degree of latitude for which this medal can be awarded, and it may be awarded for both conspicuous actions as well as more clandestine or classified service.
