The Black Ships are a mysterious deep space phenomenon, a tale of a strange, hostile Celestoid lifeform that attacks starships deep in the void.
- It is rumored that there are entire fleets of black ships, which are logically called Black Fleets.

Old spacers have been telling strange tales for millennia, the Old Spacer's Tale of questionable verity. The Black Ships are widely considered such a tale.
