Dim is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.

• As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Shinkan Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.

Description (Planetology)

The system’s largest gas giant is named "Oaf", and is just barely under the threshold of being classified as a brown dwarf and is not much smaller than the system primary, Dim. The two bodies orbit one another about a close barycentre. The other planets of the system are circumbinary, orbiting the star and gas giant as a pair.

Dim has a solitary primary star.
