From the Stellar Classification at Wikipedia, the template converts a star description (e.g. G2 V) into it appropriate color (e.g. Yellow).
The full table is:
- Type O stars: Blue
- Type B stars: Blue-White
- Type A stars: White
- Type F stars: Yellow-White
- Type G stars: Yellow
- Type K stars: Orange
- Type M stars: Red
- Type BD stars: Brown Dwarf
- Type BH stars: Black Hole
- Type D stars: White Dwarf
- Type NS stars: Neutron Star

- Template:BinaryStarSystem x=45%
- Template:TrinaryStarSystem x=5%
- Template:QuaternaryStarSystem X<1%
