- EXTERNAL LINK: Mining drones from Mongoose Traveller. I thought I knew how these worked and came up with an explanation, now I know a lot more about mining ... I don't know what they do?? Has anybody got any ideas? More specifically, they might excavate ore, but what do they do with the ore? 'Continuous mining machines' today dump it into a powered truck which drives away, then returns empty.
