Mheirchalla pronounced meer ah kawl ah, is an exotic dance style popular throughout Beyond Sector and, well... beyond!
Description (Specifications)
The exhibition is that the performer goes through sensual and acrobatic movements while dodging and deflecting laser blasts from various floating and stationary position around the dance stage. The dancer's only protective gear are goggles and a pair of Teratatza, folding reflective fans in which she deflects laser shots. The stage is enclosed in a transparent box to protect spectators and to allow for antigravity plates for performance of the contragravity version.
History & Background (Dossier)
The lasers are normally set on nonlethal settings though several dancers have been know to court death dancing to full energized lasers. There is no set dress style for mheirchalla though prefer bodysuits. The dance originated on the planet Vlad (world) in the 980's. The very best dancers come from Vlad (world), Miryem (world), and Lilith (world) .
