Bug (slang)

Common word for a non-humanoid lifeform, particularly one with a bio-polymer exoskeleton or multiple limbs. The Chamax were originally called simply 'bugs', before their proper name was assigned.

When used as a designation for sophonts, the term is considered to be a term of abuse, characterised as Hate Speech under Imperium law.
