Semi-intelligent telepathic amoeboid native to Salus (The Beyond 1839).
Mures (Creature) Physiology & Ecology
Reddish-purple in coloration, this shapeless creature can form multiple pseudopod for manipulation, movement, and defense/attack. Most are about 6.0cm in diameter with exceptional specimens 16.0cm in diameter.

They subsist on a variety of plant/animal matter, feeding by engulfing and dissolving food with powerful enzymes.

They make affable pets but their most enduring features is their extranormal sensitivity to their environment, allowing them to be trained to alert their owners to immicable forces (radiation, chemicals, hostile sophonts or animals, etc.).
Named for Sia Mures, an Imperial scout who discovered the species.
