Khan is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mimu Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Lancian Cultural Region and the Domain of Vland. Khan, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel.

Description

Khan is a water world, but only just. If this had been a normal planet with mountains of any size then dry land would cover most of the surface. However Khan is almost perfectly flat and so the surface is covered to a depth of three metres on average with water. The single city is built surrounded by dikes 5 metres in height which have allowed the water to be pumped away and a ‘normal’ city and starport to be constructed.

Khan has three stars in the star system.
