Muikha has the population located in one or more dwarf planets or planetesimals in a co-orbital position, an asteroid belt. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mimu Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Lancian Cultural Region and the Domain of Vland. Muikha, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. 30% of the world's population is the Minor Race Hamaran.
Description (Planetology)
This asteroid belt was one of the twelve original S'mrii colonies.
The belt itself has been successfully mined for millennia and still shows little sign of running down though most finds now are of the baser metals though occasional finds of more valuable minerals, particularly lanthanum, are still found even up to the present day. Most miners live within the hollowed out Skr*maku or Ria'urtri asteroids though the racial mix has altered significantly over the last 500 years so that the majority of miners are either human or Hamaran rather than S'mrii. The cities are primarily refineries and supply depots and as such still have a frontier-like feel about them.
History & Background (Dossier)
During the Long Night this world was named Khikhauurk.
