A Facility is a specialized compound, usually military or paramilitary in nature, used to house buildings used by well-funded organizations or institutions, and are usually associated with larger polities and megacorporations.
- Typically, a facility consists of several buildings on a compound, but a compound with just one building is not unheard of.
- These buildings are typically called bases or stations, although many other names exist for them.
