Kaurga is a pre-agricultural, nonindustrial garden world.

• As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
• It is a garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most forms of sophontic life.
• It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
• Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to gradually rise barring outside forces.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Ushra Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
• This world has an Imperial Scout base, capable of handling IISS starships and personnel.
• During the Long Night this world was named Enka Inuurk.

Description (Planetology)

The Ushran government has expressed an interest in building class-B orbital starport facilities around Kaurga, as the system forms a “gap” in the Dagudashaag Main. The pressure for migration of population from Ushra (Dagudashaag 1016) to Earth-like Kaurga has been growing, but KaurCorp has successfully resisted, so far.

Kaurga has two stars in the star system.

History

Kaurga is wholly-owned by the Kaurga Agroproduce Combine (usually known as “KaurCorp”). The company was established in the last years of the Ziru Sirka, with the purpose of producing furs and high-quality agroproducts for off-world markets. With the onset of the Long Night, the population became introverted, and lost much of its technology. With the pleasant conditions on Kaurga, the inhabitants found that they were content with a lower level of technology. Although the planetary government retains its corporate nature, off-world trading has only just resumed, and is still at a low level. Because of their exclusive nature, Kaurgan products can command an extremely high price.

• This world had Scout base from the Second Imperium.
