The Iilike-Sirius War was a brief but bloody conflict fought between two ascendant Rim States during Long Night. In -574 the Old Earth Union became embroiled with its former ally the Dingir League over the border world Iilike (Solomani Rim 1429) in Dingir Subsector. The war was indecisive: Iilike became a neutral buffer state but a vital refueling station in Sirius (Solomani Rim 1629) was destroyed, leaving a ‘Sirius Gap’ that persisted for centuries.
