The primary is Chisholm, an ordinary red main sequence [[star]]. It has a luminosity of 0.0334 Sols, a mass of 0.4574 Sols, and a diameter of 711,000 km. (I-I) an [[exotic atmosphere]] [[stormworld]], and (I-II) Gorine, designated the [[mainworld]], have a shared orbit within the [[habitable zone]]. (II-I) a [[very thin atmosphere]] [[radworld]], (II-II) an [[exotic atmosphere]] [[stormworld]], (III) a [[large gas giant]], and (IV) a [[ring]]ed [[large gas giant]] form the inner part of the outer system. Orbital positions (V) through (X) are unavailable due to the presence of the companion star. (XI) a sparse icy [[planetoid belt]] orbits the system's barycenter and forms the outer part of the outer system. Many of the worlds retain [[satellite]]s.

The companion is Darley, a tiny dwarf [[star]] lying approximately 11.5 AU (orbital position (VIII), 1.72 billion km) from Chisholm. It has a luminosity of 0.00003 Sols, a mass of 1.11 Sols, and a diameter of 8,450 km. (I-I) a [[trace atmosphere]] [[iceworld]], (I-II) an [[exotic atmosphere]] [[bigworld]], (II-I) a [[small gas giant]], and (II-II) a [[large gas giant]] form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain [[satellite]]s.
* The two stars orbit a barycenter lying at approximately 6.8 AU (orbital position (VII), 1.02 billion km) and have an orbital period around one another of 14 years 60 days.

(I-II) Gorine is designated the [[mainworld]]. It orbits Chisholm at a mean distance of 0.34 AU (50.9 million km), within the [[habitable zone]]. It has an orbital period of 107 days 1 hour: it is [[tidally locked]] to Chisholm. The axial tilt is 3 degrees. Gorine has a diameter of 4,850 km, a density of 5.66 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.39 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Chisholm cause frequent geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as [[Very thin atmosphere|Very Thin]], [[Tainted atmosphere|Tainted]], with a mean surface pressure of 0.16 bar and a composition of 88% nitrogen (N<sub><small>2</small></sub>), 9% abiotic oxygen (O<sub><small>2</small></sub>), 1% carbon dioxide (CO<sub><small>2</small></sub>), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% xenon (Xe), water vapor (H<sub><small>2</small></sub>O), ozone (O<sub><small>3</small></sub>), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The [[Tainted atmosphere|taint]] is caused by the low percentage of atmospheric oxygen and the relatively high levels of background radiation: emission rates exceed 10 rads per hour. Approximately 18% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water and sheets of water-ice: average tidal ranges exceed 0.4m. Mean surface temperature: -25°C. The atmosphere is slow and minor weather systems driven by the star and the seas drift across the globe. The [[Fringian_Variant_System_Description#Planetary_Climate|climate]] is rated as Cold and is static, with no seasonal changes during the local year.
