A Whip Knife is the kind of weapon which is more dangerous to the wielder than to the target, unless the user is highly skilled in wielding the weapon. It consists of a very flexible shaft, around 1m long and 7.5mm thick, made from ceramic, with ingrown ferro-crystals incorporated, and tipped with a very sharp, curved blade, around 75mm long and 40mm wide. The butt end often features a ring, or a moulded handle. In use, the whip knife can be whipped around and flung out to cut. Whip knives are too springy to be used in parrying.
