Vassopressin-y modifies the brain structure of the patient to allow both faster learning and better recall of the subject matter. The boost this provides lasts only if the daily doses of the drug are taken. Once the drug is stopped the knowledge is retained, but the enhanced learning ceases and recall ability return to normal. The drug is both physically and psychologically addictive. Taking the drug for more than a few months causes the patient to become increasingly mentally unstable until they fall into a coma from the mental overload.
